About Me
Ever since watching Lois Lane in Superman, Brittany Miller wanted to be a reporter and was willing to do whatever it took to pursue her goal.
That meant studying journalism at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and starting her career at one of the school’s magazines, SU Globalists, where she rose from a copy editor, to beat editor, and managing editor.
Because of that work Brittany earned roles at PageSix where she helped write Queen Elizabeth II’s obituary, the New York Post’s features desk, and a general news intern at Syracuse.com.
In 2022, Newhouse awarded her with the Heather L. Fleishman Memorial Scholarship which is given to a woman who demonstrates outstanding potential in journalism.
Most recently, she has carved out a niche for herself at The Independent as a lifestyle reporter, where she largely focuses on sports content whether that be the Super Bowl or March Madness
